First, I wouldn’t say that it feels better, it certainly feels different, amazing, but not better or worse. But, totally and completely different. From a male perspective, you have a simple function of anatomy: the prostate:

That's more of opinion than fact but I would assume gay sex can be better simply because gay men can be a lot hornier and sexually open than women, more experienced on how to please men since they are of the same sex and know what feels good and what doesn't, and it could be because many men find the pleasure of anal sex more appealing than vaginal. An anus can be tighter than a vagina sometimes giving more pleasure to the penis. Or on the flip side, some men just prefer to be penetrated rather being the one penetrating and since they can't really get that from a woman they go to another man to fulfil their desire.
